Description:
If the RAY ALLEN '70 Chevelle
convertible drag car
DOES interest you, please read all the following to
find out
what's up with this car... Supercars is trying to encourage a
manufacturer (Lane) to BUILD THIS CAR and need collectors
willing
to commit (to get this car made - so please read all text). Ray Allen's 1970 Chevelle SS454
convertible drag car.
It has a lot of history, it would
be nicely done, and we would consider this a pre-order ONLY
if the car is produced.
If the car is not made, your order
is then voided.
This listing (right here) will be updated when we know
more, and inform you if it is (or isn't) to be made. Right now to help
the manufacturer decide "yes or no" we need your
pre-orders.
Price is an estimate (it could be a little lower or
higher) and
we will abide by Lane Collectibles Exact Detail Series final
pricing.
When more information is available,
we
will post it HERE for you to see.
Online
orders only please. The Dec 1st, 2008 delivery time is a guess,
probably
1st quarter of 2009 if it happens.
Hopefully a "yes or no" decision is
to be made in July,
so we do need to hear from you now. You can
be part of the decision making process on this one,
and help make
it happen...?
Price $119.95
Hopeful Delivery Dec 2008, please read above info

The "Killer Car" as it was called is shown on the line in
1970 at the first annual "Supernationals" at the Ontario Motor Speedway
in Ontario Calif. This was the first time NHRA drag racing was televised
live on "ABC Wide World of Sports." Ray Allen killed the competition
here as well with a Super Stock victory at this last race of the 1970
season. Allen also lowered his own 11.55 ET record to 11.33 ET on the
final winning pass.
